The oldest among Yōtoku-in Temple’s sliding door paintings date to ca. 1490. Thereafter, the paintings have been partially repainted during several restorations. This work was originally installed with Shūbun (dates unknown)’s small sliding door landscape paintings in the ceremonial room of the abbot’s auarters.
