This work consists of two handscrolls, both entitled Flowers and Birds by Bairei. Flowering plants are depicted with small birds such as swallows and sparrows. The shading of ink is very skillful, and the depiction of flowers and birds is vivid. This is a typical example of works in the Shijô school.
