This poem, "Spring Waters," by the Tang poet Du Fu (712-770) was brushed by the calligrapher He Zhuo (1661-1722). He Zhuo, originally from Suzhou, was known by the sobriquet Runqian, which he later changed to Qishan. Known as a scholar of historical documents, his calligraphy expresses the austere style of a scholar.
