Asuka Shrine under Kumano-hayatama Shrine had preserved garments and implements as treasures which were purchased in 1390. Among them a jeweled (sekitai) and its bag are important materials in studying folklore and history of textiles. This bag is made from brocade with various stitches. Crane figure patters are woven with light green, yellow, and white horizontal threads on the red brocade. However, they have nearly worn off. The soft style of this brocade indicates the time in which it was made.
