In this work, images of the Amida Triad are painted all in gold from the skin to drapes. The figure on the lotus pedestal is Kannon Bosatsu (Skt., Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva) and the figure with joined palms is Seishi Bosatsu (Skt., Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva). Although this work follows a commonly used style, the use of real hair in illustrating Amida's and the Bodhisattvas' hair is very unusual. The work had been housed at Shôren-in Temple, Kyoto. Although in a formalized style, this is an example that conveys a particular air of elegance.
