In this work, landscape and flowing plants are executed in light ink and light colors on kira biki ("undercoating with mica"). As for a fan with the depiction of chrysanthemums in ink of this work, light blue paint is applied around the chrysanthemums in order to highlight them. Yun Nantian's (also known as Yun Shouping, 1633-1690) such artisan-like composition idea is blended perfectly with his taste as a literati artist, creating a delicate, yet magnificent world of paintings.
