This clay figurine portrays a woman in a cloth head covering, her hands clasped together beneath her robe. During the Han dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE), tomb figures and small representations of warriors, animals, houses and other objects began to be buried along with the deceased to provide for their needs and comfort in the afterlife.
