This bowl is porcelain ware of Ko-kutani type. It is flower-shaped with nine corners and cuts. Geometrical patterns are arranged around the bowl, leaving the white nine-cornered polygonal space in the bowl, where peonies, birds, and butterflies are arranged. The base is porcelain-white, while green, purple, red, and yellow are used to coat the surface. Geometrical patterns and some designs are black glazed under green and purple glazing. In contrast to the complicated design of the bordering, flowers and birds look all the more remarkable. The lip is iron glazed, arabesque designs are put on the bottom, and an inscription is glazed in black and green on the foot.
