This is a high-quality ancient copy of what is today known as the Treatise on the Perfection of the Great Wisdom (Ch. Da zhidu lun). It was brought back from one of the expeditions to Central Asia that were sponsored by Ōtani Kōzui (1876–1948), the 22nd abbot of Nishi Hongan-ji Temple in Kyoto.
