The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a five-story pagoda at Daci’ensi Temple in Chang’an (Xi’an) built for the priest Xuanzang in 652. Later, stone carvings of imperially commissioned Buddhist texts in the hand of Chu Suiliang, one of the Three Masters of the Early Tang, were embedded into the pagoda wall. This rubbing taken in the Song dynasty is of unknown provenance.
