This calligraphy was produced by Liang Tongshu (1723-1815) in 1797 (Jianqing 2) based on the questions of and subsequent answers to Su Shi (1036-1101), also known as Su Dongpo, who asked Wu Fufu the secrets of longevity. Liang Tongshu, whose sobriquet was Yuanying, was a native of Qiantang (in present-day Zhejiang Province) in China. He used the pseudonyms Shanzhou and Buweng, as well as Xinwu Changweng, in his later years.
