This kimono exemplifies the particular aesthetic taste for the unexposed design in Japanese robes. Almost invisible here, the inside of the nagagi and the under kimono are adorned with fine bamboo grass and small flowers done in the yūzen dyeing method. It conveys an aesthetic taste that is still favored today.
