This tea caddy in the fubuki (lit. “snowstorm”) style was favored by the warlord Matsudaira Harusato, sobriquet Fumai in tea circles. It is one from a set of thirty identical tea caddies that he commissioned. Fumai’s signature can be found on the underside of the lid.
