A yellow green glaze flows elegantly down from the neck and almost covers the entire vessel that takes the form of a Chinese “prunus vase” (meiping). Its shape and brownish color are characteristics of the wares produced in the Sue kilns of Mino (present-day Gifu Prefecture).
