This pair of screens depicts two sites of scenic beauty. The right screen shows eight iconic views around Lake Biwa--Mii-dera and Ishiyama-dera temples, the Seta Bridge, etc.--based on the Chinese theme Eight Views of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers. The left screen features Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima) in Hiroshima, and shows Arinoura Beach.
