Japanese mirrors with triangular rims, deities, and animals were made in imitation of imported Chinese mirrors. Wheel-like stone bracelets with radial fluting may have been used by the elite to symbolize authority. These objects were discovered by chance during roadwork around a 4th century keyhole-shaped burial mound (tumulus or kofun) in Osaka.
