In the inner sanctum of the present main hall at the Kurama-dera Temple in Kyoto, there used to be a stone platform, on which stood a stone pagoda 64 cm in height. A number of sutra mound relics were unearthed during a total of three excavations held in 1878 (Meiji 11), 1923 (Taishô 12), and 1931 (Shôwa 6). This mirror is one of the objects, which was found in the excavation of 1878.
