The Eight Views of Lake Biwa (Ōmi) are iconic scenes of Japan’s largest lake, based after the Chinese prototype, Eight Views of the Xiao and Xiang Rivers. The square sake container for this set has “Evening Snow at Mt. Hira” on top and “Geese Descending on Katada” and “Returning Sails at Yabase” on its sides.
