A renga ("linked verse") poet, Satomura Genchin (1591-1665), was the son of Genjô and the grandson of the celebrated renga poet, Satomura Jôha (?1524-1602). Residing in Sakai, Osaka, Genchin used the pseudonyms, Tokurinseki and Ichiô. At the end of this work is attached a chronology for 1646 (Shôhô 3), thus revealing the production date of the work.
