Kanô Tsunenobu (1636-1713) was the son of Tan'yû's (1602-74) younger brother, Naonobu (1607-40). Tsunenobu established the foundations for the prosperity of the Kanô sub-school of Kobiki-chô by following in the footsteps of his father, who died young. Although his has been a low profile compared to the great name recognition of Tan'yû, his artistic achievements are quite extensive. Further research on this artist is expected in future.
