This writing table depicts a waterside scene under a clear crescent moon, the images of which include flowing water, waterfowl, pine trees, and mountains. A traditional style is evident here in that the writing table and the inkstone case were made to go together as a pair. The space in the center of the table is designed to hold the inkstone case.
