These dishes model the shape of sailboats and have been preserved in a wooden box with the inscription, "Kyoto-ware dishes in the shape of sailboats inside." Judging from the date written in ink on the back of the lid, reading 1738 (Genbun 3), they were probably produced in the early 18th century.
