This earthenware figurine is a Chinese warrior with a long beard, wearing armor. The wide-eyed facial expression, which almost seems demonic, is characteristic of warrior figurines of the Northern Wei dynasty (386-535) in China. Similar examples were excavated from the tomb of Shao Tianshen in Renjiakou village, Xian City, in 520 (Zhengguang 1).
