The lid of this jar has been lost, but the basic form includes a lid. This type of jar has occasionally been excavated in the cities of Kamakura and Sakai in Japan. The same type was brought up from a ship, thought to have been a Chinese ship on its way to Japan that sank off the coast of Sinan in Korea.
