This is a collection of chakutô waka handwritten by Emperor Gotsuchimikado (1442-1500, r. 1464-1500) in 1481 (Bunmei 13), who was 29 years old at the time. The collection contains eleven poems by the emperor and 118 poems by seven court attendants including Kanroji Chikanaga (1424-1500). Chakutô waka are Japanese poems composed at a poetry gathering that takes place over a predetermined number of days, with a fixed number of participants, and for which a set number of poetic topics has been determined for each day.
