This scripture was originally part of the entire Buddhist canon, known as Kaiyuan si ban (Printed [Edition] of Kaiyuan Temple), which was printed at Kaiyuan chan-si Temple in Fuzhou Province, China, from 1112 (Zhenghe 2) to 1151 (Shaoxing 21). This manuscript, Jinglu yixiang (J., Kyôritsu isô; Various Aspects of the Teachings and Precepts), Volume 5, is dated 1148 (Shaoxing 18). Jinglu yixiang, in five volumes (compiled by Baochang (n.d.)), contains passages from the sutras, precepts, and commentaries that tell of the miraculous powers of the Buddhist teachings.
