Zhu Xi (1130-1200), whose sobriquets included Yuanhui and Zhonghui, was a Confucianist of the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279), China. He used the pseudonyms Huian and Ziyang. This work is part of the Yan Yuan (522 B.C.-490 B.C.) version of Lunyu (E., The Analects of Confucius and consists of two albums. The first album has eight pages while the second has 29, containing texts and explanatory notes written in the running cursive style of calligraphy. Though only a draft, it is a valuable work for what it tells us about Zhu Xi's handwriting style, as well as his thoughts.
