This long-sleeved kimono for baby girls is adorned on both sides with various seasonal and courtly motifs reminiscent of scenes from the Tale of Genji: a standing curtain below a blooming cherry tree, eboshi court hats, chūkei fans, maple leave trees, a helmet for the Boy’s Festival, and tanzaku (small vertical poem cards).
