This inrō, a small case suspended from the man’s obi (sash), is by Miura Kenya, active during the nineteenth century. Both sides show scenes of famous places along the Tōkaidō Highway and call to mind the style of Ogata Kenzan (1663 –1743) whose works served as the artist’s source of inspiration.
