Ensemble of Musicians and Dancers

Museum No.
GK1121

This ensemble of six clay figurines show dancers accompanied by musicians playing the pipa lute, flute, and cymbal. Their robes indicate that all are women. As they are all made from the same clay, it is likely that they were created as a set for burial in a Tang dynasty tombs.
