This fine painting depicts the goddess Queen Mother of the West presenting Peaches of Immortality to the Chinese Emperor Wudi. According to Chinese mythology, the peaches from her palace garden on Mt. Kunlun would ripe every three thousand years and bring longevity to those who eat them.
