Overview

Bowl with Floral Roundels; Kangxi Reign Mark Jingdezhen ware

Museum No.
GK602

This bowl flares from the footring before rising steeply upward. Its white porcelain body was incised with floral medallions inside and out before being coated in yellow glaze. A blue inscription inside the footring reads “Made in the Kangxi period [1662–1722] of the Great Qing dynasty,” but the shape and décor suggest a later Guangxu (1875–1908) reign date.
