Overview

Pair of Cups with Floral Arabesques; Yongzheng Reign Mark Jingdezhen ware

Museum No.
GK599

These matched cups are decorated inside and out with flowering scrolls and floral roundels. The medium-toned cobalt blue décor contrasts nicely against the white porcelain. Despite the Yongzheng period (1722 –1735) inscription found within the footring of each cup, these were likely made later, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875–1908).
