A perfectly formed white porcelain body is coated with pale blue-green celadon glaze known as douqing (“bean blue”). The interior has the auspicious character shou (“longevity”) surrounded by roiling waves. Inside the footring is a blue Yongzheng (1723–1735) reign mark.
