The interior of this bowl bears a large composite flower executed in the decorative technique known as doucai (“bean-colored”), which combines hand-painted underglaze and overglaze designs. Three floral motifs alternate around the outer walls. Though it has a Yongzheng (1723–1735) reign mark, this likely dates to Qing’s final Guangxu period (1875 –1908).
