This pear-shaped bottle on a splayed footring has an ovoid body rising into a narrow neck with a bulbous mouth, a form likened to a garlic head. The pale blue glaze has a slightly matte finish. Its shape appears to imitate Song dynasty celadons. Inside the footring is a cobalt blue inscription reading “Made in the Qianlong period [1736–1795] of the Great Qing dynasty.”
