This conical bowl has walls that arc up gently from the short foot towards its notched rim, which is edged in brass. The sides are incised with radiant lines defining the foliate shape. Inside, the small floor of the bowl is carved with a floral design. Its slightly yellowish ivory tone gives this Ding ware bowl a sense of softness.
