This screen depicts famous generals and statesmen who lived between China’s Zhou and Tang dynasties (11th c. BCE–10th c. CE). From right to left they are Zhang Liang, Jiang Ziya, Li Ji (Li Shiji), Xiao He, Di Renjie, and Li Guangbi. Note the details in their faces and garments, giving each figure a sense of individuality.
