This is a collection of poems by the priest Myôe (also known as Kôben, 1173-1232), who revived the Kegon sect of Buddhism. It was recorded and edited by the priest's disciple, Kôshin, for the seventeenth memorial of Myôe's death. The collection contains 155 poems, 39 of which are poems by others to complement Myôe's verses. At the end of the collection is a postscript by Kôshin, dated the eighth day of the third month of 1248 (Hôji 2).
