This handscroll is based on the valorous tale of the famous Genji warriors, Onimaru and Onigire, and their conquest against the ogre, Shuten Doji, of Mount Omi. In the first scroll, Watanabe Tsuna cuts off the right arm of ogre of Mount Omi, who established himself at the Rajomon gate. In the last scroll, the heroes, Tsuna and Yorimitsu, defeat a bullish ogre, who had been the cause of Yorimitsu's illness.
