This cylindrical tea bowl reflects a revival of an earlier blue-and-white sometsuke style tea bowl. The design of clouds and pavilion (J., undôde) is quite similar to that of its predecessor. On this piece, however, the shape of the foot has been adapted for use in the Japanese tea ceremony and made higher.
