This kimono features the classical Japanese design of paulownia leaves and bamboo in the popular Art Nouveau style of the twentieth century. The motifs are rendered by employing stencils that allow to generate compositions and color tones that differ from hand-painted yūzen textiles. Its great popularity also influenced children’s kimono.
