"Willows, Bridge, and Waterwheel" is typical of painting themes with bold designs. In this work, the Uji Bridge, the waterwheel, and willows are arranged decoratively with the shining moon in the sky. Although paintings of "Willows, Bridge, and Waterwheel" were popularly produced from the Muromachi (1392-1573) to Momoyama (1573-1615) periods, this work dates to the Edo period (1615-1868).
