Kanô Naonobu (1607-1650), whose nickname was Shume, was the younger brother of Tan'yû (1602-74) and the older brother of Yasunobu (1613-85). Although his powerful brushstrokes were highly esteemed, often more than those of Tan'yû, he unfortunately died at the age of 44. This work is the perfect Naonobu masterpiece for studying and revaluating the powerful brushstrokes of the artist.
