This hitoe kimono employs two dyeing techniques. The upper part is done in the komon dyeing, while the areas in various shades of blue around the hem and the center front are executed in the yūzen dyeing method. The placement of the design only in the front suggests that it is a Taishō period (1912–1926) piece.
